Scott Vander Ploeg

I serve as pastor of Sunlight Community Church, a Christian Reformed congregation in Port St. Lucie, Florida. My wife and I are blessed with three daughters and are deeply committed to following Jesus Christ together.

I am passionate about studying, teaching, and preaching God's Word. While we originally felt called to overseas missions and served for a time in Nigeria, God redirected us to what I believe is one of North America's great mission fields: Florida's Treasure Coast. That conviction fuels my desire to reach people for Christ and help them grow as disciples.

Since coming to Port St. Lucie, we have helped launch several ministries, includingSunlight Christian Academy,Kingdom Builders, the Sunlight Discipleship Center, and SunChurchTV, all designed to help people engage more deeply in Christ's mission and the life of the church.
